Elsa Goossen works as an Active Transportation Planner for the New Mexico Department of Transportation, where she focuses on bike and pedestrian safety and connectivity across the state. She earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of New Mexico in 2024, with an emphasis on climate mitigation and adaptation at the local level. Previously, she worked on immigrants’ rights and carceral issues as a paralegal at the ACLU of New Mexico. Elsa enjoys studying the intersections of social issues and investigating how thoughtful policies can make our communities more vibrant, equitable, and sustainable.
