Janice Biletnikoff is the Long-Range Strategic Planner for the City of Santa Fe Planning & Land Use Department. She also serves as project manager for the City’s General Plan update (“Santa Fe Forward”).

Janice is an AICP-certified planner with experience in both the private and public sectors. After graduating from the University of New Mexico with a Master’s in Community and Regional Planning, she consulted for various federal entities, then transitioned to a career in public service working at the city, county and state levels of government. She specializes in both current and long-range planning, with expertise in writing land use code regulations, comprehensive plan updates, public engagement, parks & conservation planning, and land use entitlements.

After more than 15 years working in Colorado, Washington and Hawaii, Janice returned to New Mexico two years ago. With a background in research psychology, she has a deep interest in the use of innovative urban planning techniques to improve quality of life, conserve natural resources and create equitable communities. Janice is honored to contribute to the City’s planning goals and help shape Santa Fe’s future.
