Kendra Montanari has spent the past two decades analyzing land use patterns, population trends, and the allocation of public dollars to support multimodal transportation systems. In her role as the Transportation Planning Manager for the Mid-Region Council of Governments, Kendra leads the development of the long-range metropolitan transportation plan which directs over $7 billion in federal funds over the next 25 years. She completed a dual master’s program in Community and Regional Planning and Public Administration from the University of New Mexico and earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Kendra is currently involved with several organizations including the Urban Land Institute and Girls on the Run Rio Grande. It is her broad mission to lead with curiosity and actively engage with her community to create a bright future.
