For Brandi, Albuquerque was just her place of birth until later in life. Most of her youth was spent on Laguna Pueblo. Her family visited the City every 2 weeks for groceries. In her eyes, it was a place filled with so much promise and opportunity.

Although reservation life was small, Brandi participated in programs that would help her see the world. Traveling to New Zealand and Australia as a student ambassador with the People 2 People program (2006). Visiting India with the Sustainable Global Leadership Alliance (2008). It took Brandi going around the world to realize that her true love and home was always going to be New Mexico.
She received her BA in Psychology from UNM in 2013. In 2021 she gave birth in the bedroom of her newly purchased home. Solidifying her as a resident.

In December of 2024 Brandi started working for the Mayor of Albuquerque as the Liaison for the Office of Native American affairs. She worked to provide a full report of the cities findings around the current challenges Native Americans face as first time homebuyers.
