Robin has a Master’s in Community and Regional Planning from UNM and has worked for Local, State and Federal Government as a Planner, Disaster Recovery Specialist, and Census Field Representative. As a Santa Fe City Planner, he managed updates to the Land Development Code that included low impact development and water harvesting. Earlier in his construction career he worked as a carpenter, remodeling contractor, project manager and estimator. Currently he is working to promote hempcrete and other bio-based building materials in New Mexico and accelerate the transition to low carbon, regionally sourced building materials. He has done many presentations and demonstrations on hempcrete and bio-based materials to Alternative Materials Classes at the UNM School of Architecture and collaborates on research with the UNM Engineering School. Hempcrete and other hemp building materials support local and regional economic development, regenerative agriculture, affordable housing and community sustainability goals.
