Shai Haber Thaler is a landscape designer and planner working in Santa Fe. Through design and community engagement, she helps to make the spaces that she works on to be more sustainable, livable, and beautiful. The issue of homelessness has become very important to her in recent years; she has helped shape a studio class in the school of architecture and planning at UNM, motivating students to design cooling and heating stations for the unhoused population in the city, a place of respite to heat up in the winter and cool off in the summer.
