I moved to New Mexico from New York City 15 years ago because I wanted to be a part of a unique mix of world class art, high end technology and science, and diverse cultures and ecologies.  Exploring this intersection is my passion and have found a large community of people in the state who share that love. I am a Professor of Art Studio and Associate Professor of Engineering at UNM and Endowed Chair of Digital Media.   Five years ago, I co-founded SciArt Santa Fe, with the goal to promote excellence in art and science (SciArt) in New Mexico.  I have worked with SciArt Santa Fe and other community organizations to hold public events statewide including Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Taos.
