My name is Vanessa Laguna. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I was born and raised in Albuquerque; New Mexico in the Old Town Area known as La Plaza Veja. I attended Reginald Chavez Elementary, Washington Middle School and Albuquerque High School. I graduated with my G.E.D from Youth Development Inc. in 2008. I then went on to Central Community College where I received my associates degree in business administration with a concentration in Management.

I have worked for the City for 10 years with most of my experience in direct services. I am currently working as a Program Specialist in the Community Development Division with Affordable Housing. I am very honored to be in the current position I am in. I have had the pleasure of working with nonprofit agencies and different City departments. I have gained so much knowledge in my current position and want to continue learning and growing within the City of Albuquerque.
